Fureler button

On our 588, we've always used the F5 button on the 12v panel to control the main mast electric furler . After a lightning strike, my electrician checked things over and said there's no wire even connected to that button. The factory and dealer have been slow to reply and keep giving conflicting info. Anyone know what the F5 button is actually for?

That's odd your electrician found no wire to the F5 button, on my 588, it controls the main mast furler too, these buttons can be left unassigned or set differently depending on options, which might explain the mixed info.

If you can get a wiring diagram, that could clear it up

Yeah, that's a good call, probably just some wires crossed. A diagram should sort it out.

Thanks, that makes sense, so it could just be an unassigned option on my setup. Do you happen to know where i might find a wiring diagram for my model, or is it something only the dealer can provide?

That probably means mine's just an unused spare too. When you traced yours, was it pretty easy to follow or kind of a tangled mess back there?
